Optimization Importance

Our company provides Mobile Network Optimization services (details here) in addition to Agileto PRO Edition software (in-house developed) toll. Please see below or contact us for more details.

We are providing for free the Proof Of Concept (POC details) meaning a trial Mobile Network optimization service for any company which is interested to evaluate our services. The trial will be conducted on a limited area from your network representing a cluster of your mobile network (at your choice 20 to 25 sites) including one or multiple technologies (2G/3G/4G).

At the end of this trial we will issue and send you an Optimization report and you may decide if you like it and if you would like to purchase from us similar services in the future (at special rates).

You may download few Audit and Optimisation samples reports from here: -> 2G or 3G or Benchmark

During the time when you get any trial or Optimization service from us up to five (5) Agileto PRO Edition licenses (full options) may be provided for free to your company for your own usage.

Contact us now for more details or to order a trial or a service. We will be delighted to answer you asap.

Agileto tool provides powerful optimization algorithms and features with a great focus on the pollution & neighborhood declarations as these have a big impact on the mobile user's satisfaction and consequently into the mobile operator's revenues. The great importance of these topics is explained below.

It is well known (within the telecom world…) that the performance of one mobile network (2G/3G/4G) is evaluated by different indicators (KPIs -> Key Performance Indicators) and the most two important indicators are the CDR (Call Drop Rate) and CSSR (Call Setup Success Rate). Both CDR and CSSR KPIs indicators are ultimately translated into the mobile user (client) satisfaction and it is, therefore, the goal of every mobile operator to try to reduce the CDR and increase CSSR indicators. Achieving this goal provides maximum quality & satisfaction to their mobile users (clients) which will results in more revenue for the mobile operator. Currently, another important KPI indicator is the DL/UL data throughput which the mobile user may experience/get as maximum from the mobile operator while the mobile user is moving.

More and more mobile users are using their mobile devices in order to perform wireless voice calls & data exchange while they are moving and the ‘success and stability’ of their calls + the values of the DL/UL throughput they get results in their satisfaction with the service.

The major manufactures of the mobile telecomm networks devices (e.g. Ericsson, Nokia-Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei, etc) all over the world are trying to implement different algorithms and strategies (which may need to be 3GPP compliant or they may be based on their own algorithms) in an attempt to achieve the maximum client satisfactions using the mobile telecomm networks/operators that use their equipments.

Both mobile network device manufactures and mobile operators are looking to find efficient solutions in order to be able to optimize their mobile networks and to achieve the best KPIs. (As already mentioned for end client satisfaction the most important KPIs are the CSSR + CDR + UL/DL throughput).

Regardless of the specific mobile telecom devices, all vendors & operators are using the same principles of working in mobile telecomm networks which consists in achieving the elimination of the pollution and a good neighborhood declarations . Maintaining a low pollution and the optimum neighborhood declarations are extremely important in reaching good KPIs and especially for the three previously mentioned KPIs (CSSR + CDR + UL/DL throughput). Therefore, the minimization of the pollution & optimum neighborhood declarations should be the initial steps (platforms) on which should be based other specific optimization techniques added by different vendors or mobile operators. The optimization of the neighborhoods declarations should be maintained on a regular basis while the mobile networks evolve (deployments) and/or the mobile operators are changing their strategy in terms of mobility inter-systems and/or inter-carriers.

Additionally to the improvement of the KPIs mentioned above (CSSR + CDR + UL/DL throughput), the good neighborhood declarations facilitate to have less loading into the mobile network signalizations => more resources available to carry the customer traffic demand, less chance of the network blockage => and ultimately in better mobile user satisfaction and more revenue for the mobile operators.

How Agileto is supporting the above mentioned optimization activity? Please see below…

Agileto tool is supporting all the technologies (2G/3G/4G). It is vendor independent (ALU/HW/NSN/E///...) and it provides Automatic Network analysis & optimization, as following:

  • Output reports & mapping in MapInfo & Google Earth (Sites & Cells + Neighbors + Drive Test + KPIs);
  • OMC Audit & Sanity check verifications;
  • Inconsistency Cells parameters declarations;
  • ANR (Automatic Neighbors Relation) Intra + Inter Frequency/Technology;
  • Lack of coverage & quality areas;
  • Pollution areas;
  • Overshooters cells;
  • Cell Coverage areas (Top1 / ASet / Full);
  • Missing neighbors (to be added);
  • Non useful neighbors (to be deleted);
  • Cross sectors / feeders;
  • Planning errors for 2G(BCCH) / 3G(PSC) / 4G(PCI);
  • “Border cells” list (for the optimization purposes);

Agileto tool has several modules available to support the optimization topics mentioned above (grouped in five main categories of interest) as following:
